Wooden Bowl #04

The fourth bowl of my new lathe is made of Cherry. A beautiful, light hardwood, cherry is a bit of a pain to work with. It is dense, requiring very sharp lathe tools, and an extended sanding time.

This bowl measures 2.75″ (6.9cm) by 6″ (15.2cm) and weighs 16 ounces (454g).

The CTBusters Wood Shop medallion is installed at the bottom.

It is finished with UV-curable resin, an expensive finish that cures exceptionally scratch-resistant. The resin is inert and will not affect the flavors of foods. Hand-wash only; it is not oven – or microwave-safe.

Poorly made Wooden bowls can be bought cheaply on Amazon. My bowls are as much Art as wooden bowls. Each one is meticulously designed and executed by my hands only. They all have my Maker’s Medallion in the base and will be collectible after I am gone. No two wooden bowls I make will be exactly alike, all my creations are originals. Also, by buying one of my bowls you will be helping CTBusters stay in business, as Orgonite sales have waned a lot since the loss of the Crofts.
